From Katlehong, and attended high school at Phumulani Secondary School in Katlehong. 

Motivation behind being part of HMU: 

As someone who grew up & went to school in a township I got to witness how access to higher education is an issue for learners from disadvantaged backgrounds. In grade 11 I wrote a mission statement for myself and one of the things I had included was  to help change someone else’s life, especially fellow youth. I’m one person who believes in not forgetting where you come from; you move a few steps forward but at some point you have to look back and encourage others to join. Most importantly, a community/nation that invests in its education and health is investing in its future; so why not be part of those trying to build such a community?
