From Upington in the Northern Cape but relocated to Cape Town in Grade 11. Attended Upington and De Kuilen High School.

Motivation behind being part of HMU:

I'm, as mentioned, from a small town where only those who had the privilege of attending a Model C school or whose parents could afford it were able to study after school. So many people who I attended school with had to start working immediately after they matriculated. I can't help but think that had there been an organisation like HMU they might have followed a different course. I want to make a difference in our society and I'm honoured to be a part of something that's main aim/ mission is to uplift the nation to bring about a ripple effect and bring about a much needed change in our society.
